***Your Education is very important to us! Your 6th Grade Year is a momentous year in preparing you for the future. I will be here to help you along the way, but you will benefit by being prepared to learn each day!***
1. ATTEND REQUIRED LIVE SESSIONS: If a session is required, you need to attend. You get the most out of your education by showing up. If you are sick, have a Dr. appt or technical problems, please let me and the Attendance Office know as soon as possible.
2. ATTEND FULL LENGTH OF SESSION: Please make sure you are signing into your session on time. If not, you could be missing important announcements at the beginning of the class. I will be opening the classroom up early to allow plenty of time for classrooms to load. On the flip side, please stay the full length of the sessions so you are not missing important assignments, quizzes, or assessments at the end.
3. PAY ATTENTION: If you are in class, be there! If you are not paying attention you could be missing important parts of your learning experience or important announcements. Please close anything else you have open except for your live class session. This includes, but is not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, MySpace, video games, shopping sites, blogs, etc.
4. PARTICIPATE: Participating lets me know you are at your computer and paying attention, helps you to understand the information better, and allows me to see what you understand and/or need help with. I want to help you and support you, but I have to see what you can do.
5. COMPLETE YOUR WORK WHEN IT IS DUE: It is very easy to get behind if you are not staying on top of your work. As always, if you have questions or need help, please let me know!
6. DO YOUR OWN WORK: When you complete an assignment, it should always be your OWN work, not a parent, sibling, or something you found off of the internet, etc.
7. SET UP YOUR OFFICE IN A QUIET SPACE: It is important that you are able to focus on your school work during school hours. Please try to set up a work area in a quiet area free of distractions if possible.
8. ASK QUESTIONS: I truly care about your education and want to help you. Please do not hesitate to ask when you have questions!
